A Pattern of “Business Dinners” in West Lake Hills

Discreet evening surveillance for an infidelity case in Austin

Months of unexplained evenings, a guarded phone and significant shared property at stake. Discreet surveillance across Austin documented a repeated pattern for counsel.

The situation

A long-time West Lake Hills resident had spent months with questions they couldn’t answer. Their spouse had become distant and protective of their phone, and was often out in the evening for “business dinners” downtown. Each explanation sounded reasonable alone; together they no longer added up. With significant shared assets and real estate involved, the client needed facts that would stand up in a Travis County family court, gathered without the family or neighbors knowing.

Our approach

  • A baseline first: Unmarked vehicles monitored departures from the home to establish the spouse’s normal pattern without being noticed.
  • Mobile surveillance: Investigators followed movements from the hills into busy Austin districts, keeping coverage as the setting changed.
  • Checking the story: Claimed appointments were compared with what was actually observed, using only lawful sources.

What we found

On the fourth night, while the spouse was said to be at a networking event, investigators documented a meeting with another person at a hotel in the South Congress area, with date-stamped photographs. The same pattern was observed on more than one occasion, showing a continuing relationship rather than a single evening.

The outcome

The client received a written timeline, photographs and vehicle details ready for legal review. With their attorney, they were able to move from suspicion to informed decisions and reached a favorable settlement.

Names and identifying details have been changed, and this case is shared with the client’s permission.
