Background

Silent Phone Lines and Vanishing Acts

A Houston husband contacted TJS Private Investigations with growing suspicions about his wife. She claimed to be going to work each day—a construction-related job that should involve noise, activity, and regular hours.

But when he spoke to her on the phone, the background was silent. No machinery. No coworkers. No construction sounds whatsoever.

Then came the bigger discovery. A moving truck had arrived at their residence on September 10, 2025. His wife’s belongings were loaded and transported to an unknown location. She claimed she was renting a room from a cleaning lady, but wouldn’t provide specifics.

The client found his wife’s vehicle gone from their shared home. Her son’s vehicle was also missing. Phone calls revealed evasive answers and suspicious background noises—children playing at parks, quiet environments when she claimed to be working.

Our client needed to know where his wife was actually living, whether she was truly working, and what she was doing during the hours she claimed to be on construction sites. He contacted TJS Private Investigations for comprehensive surveillance.

Challenge

Hiding in Plain Sight

The subject had moved out but wouldn’t disclose her new address. She had a vehicle we could follow, but her patterns were unpredictable. She claimed to be at work, but our client suspected otherwise.

Our team needed to locate her actual residence, document her daily activities, verify or disprove her employment claims, and identify any unfamiliar locations she was visiting. We had to conduct multi-day surveillance across Houston without alerting her to our presence.

The investigation required vehicle surveillance across multiple addresses, monitoring at suspected work locations, documentation of her actual whereabouts versus her stated claims, and identification of unknown addresses and potential relationships.

For seven days, TJS investigators followed every movement

Secret Residence

Multi-day surveillance revealed the subject living at an undisclosed address while claiming to rent a room from a cleaning lady.

Unfamiliar Locations

Investigation followed visits to unknown addresses and shopping centers, raising questions about undisclosed relationships.

Work Claims Debunked

Seven days of monitoring showed no construction activity, no work-related sounds, and confirmed the subject wasn't at her claimed job site.

Investigation

Seven Days of Documented Deception

Day 1 – September 17: Vehicle registration searches led us to multiple addresses associated with the subject. We confirmed our client’s residence—his vehicle was in the driveway, but no sign of his wife or her son. Surveillance at other registered addresses yielded no sightings.

Day 2 – September 18: At 6:35 PM, the subject called our client claiming she was walking their dogs at a park. Background audio revealed children laughing and playing. Our client suspected a familiar local park, but the subject wouldn’t confirm. We were unable to verify her location that evening.

Day 3 – September 19: At 7:38 AM, the subject called our client stating she was at work. The background was unusually quiet—no construction sounds, no machinery, no coworker voices. Suspicious.

At 12:40 PM, our client reported the subject had gone to a car wash she frequently visits. Our investigators arrived but she wasn’t there. The work site claim was looking increasingly false.

Day 4-5 – September 20-21: Our client provided photos of the moving truck from September 10. We investigated the moving company but couldn’t confirm the destination. The subject’s evasive emails and claims about personal errands while being gone for extended periods added to the pattern of deception.

Day 6 – September 22: Breakthrough. At 12:30 AM, we observed the subject’s vehicle parked overnight at a north Houston residence. Her son’s vehicle was in the driveway. We’d found her actual residence.

At 1:15 PM, surveillance followed her to The Galleria Mall, then back to the residence by 2:28 PM.

At 5:20 PM, the subject drove to an address in north Houston—a location our client had never heard of. She stayed approximately one hour before heading to a grocery store at 7:00 PM. She returned to her residence at 8:45 PM.

The unfamiliar address raised immediate red flags.

Day 7 – September 23: Morning surveillance from 6:40 AM to 8:15 AM confirmed the subject was inside her residence. Both vehicles present. No movement. No departure for work.

She wasn’t going to any job site. The work claims were fabricated.

At 6:00 PM, she visited a shopping center, then returned to her residence by 7:25 PM. Her son’s vehicle was notably absent—she was alone.

Results

A Pattern of Intentional Deception

TJS delivered comprehensive surveillance documentation exposing seven days of systematic deception. Evidence confirmed the subject was residing at an undisclosed north Houston address, not renting a room from a lady friend as claimed. Her vehicle and her son’s vehicle were both present at the residence overnight and throughout multiple days.

Work-related claims were completely debunked. Morning surveillance showed no departure for work at expected times. Phone calls claiming to be “at work” had silent backgrounds with no construction activity, machinery sounds, or coworker presence. Seven days of monitoring revealed zero work-related activity.

Suspicious location visits included documented travel to an unfamiliar north Houston address, completely unknown to our client, where she spent approximately one hour. Additional visits to The Galleria Mall, grocery store, and various shopping centers showed her actual daily patterns versus her stated activities.

Timeline documentation proved systematic concealment. Phone calls claimed parks, work sites, and errands—surveillance proved otherwise. Emails appeared designed to cover suspicious behavior and extended absences.

“Seeing that she wasn’t at any work site—that she’d been lying about her job for who knows how long—that showed me everything I needed to know,” our client said during the evidence review. “And that unfamiliar address? I’ve never heard of it. She’s living a complete hidden life.”

The evidence package provided our client with documented proof for divorce proceedings. The surveillance confirmed his suspicions weren’t paranoia—they were accurate. His wife had moved out, fabricated employment, and was visiting locations that raised serious questions about undisclosed relationships.

Our client now had court-admissible evidence of deception, false statements about employment and residence, and documented patterns suitable for legal proceedings. The seven-day investigation gave him the clarity needed to move forward with informed decisions about his marriage.
